Hello

Hi, I'm Jack, and yes, I'm one of those people who get excited when the auditorium lights dim. My love of theatre started with a childhood trip to a pantomime, and it has only grown stronger since then. These days, you'll usually find me somewhere between the West End, regional theatres, and fringe venues, always on the lookout for the next great show.

The Theatre Reviewer began as a place to share my thoughts on the productions I've seen. It is growing into a platform that offers honest reviews, exclusive interviews with actors, writers, and creatives, and behind-the-scenes stories celebrating the world of live theatre.

Alongside performing, I work in technical theatre, which gives me a real appreciation for everything that happens on and off the stage. From lighting and sound to stage management and set design, I believe every part of a production helps create the magic audiences experience.

Whether it's a major West End musical, a new fringe show, a family production, or an experimental piece, every review is honest, balanced, and written with one goal: helping more people discover great theatre, so whether you're searching for your next show or love all things theatre, welcome! I hope you enjoy exploring my thoughts on the latest productions!

My Story

I have always been obsessed with theatre and been an actor on the stage like most people. But I have more recently trained in a lot of the backstage and technical elements. The main reason I did this is because I enjoy it very much, However I didn't realise it until someone pointed it out to me but it has given a more in depth review because continuing to have experience means I can comment on these things better because I know the fixture or the technique. But as I said, this is mainly for me to document the shows I see, but am really grateful that I get to see such a diverse range of brilliant work.
